The St. George Enactus Team at the University of Toronto has been announced as the 2024 Innovation and Impact Challenge Regional Champions. The St. George Enactus Lead is led by Claire Li and Elijah Miller-Buza, and the venture who presented were co-founders Josh Kara and Ganesh Asapu from Reminest, an app that sends weekly prompts to preserve family history, stories, and culture.
Each year, Enactus Canada hosts Regional Expositions across Atlantic, Western, and Central Canada, uniting students, educators, and industry figures to honour the accomplishments of Canada's emerging leaders and innovators.
Throughout the event, participants demonstrated the impact of their community projects and entrepreneurial endeavours, showcasing their contributions both domestically and internationally. Through a series of live presentations judged by business professionals, Enactus teams vie for the title of Regional Champions, aiming to progress to the final stages of the competition at the Enactus Canada National Exposition.
This competitive process, supplemented by additional programming, fosters collaboration and the exchange of best practices, spurring innovation, promoting tangible outcomes, and recognizing outstanding achievement in entrepreneurship and community leadership.
The team is now preparing for the 2024 National Exposition at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in Toronto, May 14-16, 2024.
